Where do you serve, what is your title and how long have you served there? Multiple churches as a creative team. Previous church was 4 years. Currently at Creative Church Studio.

How would you describe your job to someone who doesn’t go to church? Haha – I basically make the church look good is what I used to say. Something along the lines effectively communicates everything for the church.

What were some of the things that you experienced that shaped the way you approach your work? Every pastor is different. Working with several, I know that I need to approach them differently with designs and ideas. Also learning more about myself through personality tests were a great help.

What’s the one thing you wish people knew about your job? It actually takes a lot more time then some people think to do certain things haha!

What is the one tool for your job that you can’t live without and why? Photoshop – I do everything in it! Second would be my Mac. Let’s just be honest 😉

What is the biggest mistake that you see churches making when it comes to communications and marketing? Too much information instead of simplicity.

Who is someone that you look to up in the church communications world?
Kendall Connor. A.k.a TheCreativePastor.com -> When I was younger and first started, I came across his blog for church media and communications. I learned so much from him and eventually was able to meet him and become a good friend. Love this dude.
